Beauty Rituals Privacy Policy

1. Information the app handles

Beauty Rituals handles the following, all created by you, to provide its features:

• Your name, if you choose to add one in Profile.
• Treatments you track — type, frequency, cost, provider, and notes.
• Visit history and dates you log, including any before/after photos you attach.
• Events and packing lists you plan.
• Your monthly beauty budget, if you set one.

2. How your information is used

Your information is used only to operate the app's own features on your device — scheduling reminders, calculating your beauty rhythm statistics, tracking your budget, and counting down your events. Nothing here is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond showing it back to you.

3. Data storage & iCloud sync

Everything above is stored in a local database on your device, and synced across your own devices using Apple's CloudKit — to your own private iCloud database, not a server we operate. Beauty Rituals has no backend server of its own and cannot read, access, or receive a copy of this data at any point; it travels only between your devices and Apple's iCloud infrastructure, end to end. Apple's handling of that private database is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy, not this one.

Sync only happens if you're signed in to iCloud with this app enabled under Settings → [your name] → iCloud on your device. If you're signed out, or turn that off, Beauty Rituals keeps working exactly the same, purely locally, with nothing sent anywhere. If you delete the app, your local copy is permanently deleted; your synced copy in iCloud can be removed the same way, via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

4. Photos you attach

When you attach a before/after photo to a visit, Beauty Rituals uses Apple's built-in photo picker, which runs outside the app and only hands over the exact photo you select — the app never gets broader access to your photo library. The image is then stored as part of that visit's record, on-device, exactly like the rest of your data, and is never uploaded anywhere.

5. In-app purchases

Beauty Rituals Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription and, separately, as a one-time lifetime purchase, both through Apple's In-App Purchase system. When you buy either, your payment is processed entirely by Apple — Beauty Rituals never sees or stores your payment details. Apple's own privacy practices govern that transaction, not Beauty Rituals'. Beauty Rituals' own code only stores one thing locally: whether Premium is currently unlocked. No purchase history, receipt, or transaction data is collected, stored on a server, or transmitted anywhere by Beauty Rituals.

6. Data sharing

None. Beauty Rituals does not share, sell, rent, or transmit your data to any third party, because it does not transmit your data anywhere at all.

7. Your choices

• Edit or delete any treatment, visit, event, or photo directly in the app.
• Delete the app to remove all local data.
• Manage or cancel your Premium subscription anytime via your Apple ID subscriptions.

8. Children's privacy

Beauty Rituals does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all. The app is not directed at children and includes no advertising or third-party tracking of any kind.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time — for example, if a future version of Beauty Rituals adds a feature that does involve network access or data collection — with an updated effective date.
