Common questions

Which calculators are free?

TVM, Amortization, Retirement Planner, Loan Comparison, Compound Interest, Credit Card Payoff, and Tip Calculator are free forever — no subscription required. The other 48, across Core Finance, Retirement, Loans & Mortgage, Investing & Savings, Stocks & Equities, Credit Card & Auto, and Everyday & Misc, are unlocked by FinCalci Pro.

Is my data backed up anywhere?

No — by design. FinCalci has no accounts and no cloud sync. Your most recent TVM values and Pro status are saved locally on your device only. If you delete the app, that data is gone and cannot be recovered, because we never had a copy of it to begin with.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not inside FinCalci itself. Open Settings on your device → [your name] → Subscriptions, or the App Store app → your account → Subscriptions, and manage or cancel FinCalci Pro from there.

I reinstalled the app or got a new device — how do I get Pro back?

Open the drawer in FinCalci and use "Restore Purchases." Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so this recovers it without paying again, as long as it's still active.

A tax bracket or contribution limit looks out of date — is that a bug?

Calculators that reference IRS/SSA figures (tax brackets, retirement account limits, RMD tables) are labeled with the tax year they reflect and aren't updated automatically. Always check the current figure against an official source before relying on it for an actual filing.
